for Foreign Students’Admission
Foreign students without compatriot
status or the R. O. C. citizenship are qualified
to apply for the admission if meeting the following requirements:
（1） People graduated from foreign institutes
recognized by the Ministry of Education
of the R. O. C. ,( graduating students included ).
（2） People with sound ability to listen,
speak, read, and write in Chinese as well
as the average academic performance and major courses at least graded
B or 75 points.
2. Time to apply:
Application for the admission
in the next academic year (starting in Sep.) should
be received every year from Dec. 1 to Feb. 28 of following year.
After the deadline, the application
will not be considered until a year later.
3. Documents required:
（1） Two filled copies of the Foreign Students’
Admission Application of Taipei
National University of the Arts, including two bust photos of
2.5 inches in length.
（2） Two photocopies (either in Chinese or
English) of the highest degree obtained
by the applicant from a foreign institute and two copies of the English
transcription of full academic records, which should be sealed by

（6） Three copies of Study Plan in Chinese,

include the summary and the main text of the study plan with bibliography,autobiography,

and order of excellence). These documents should be arranged in
said order and in A4 size.

4. Application and examination procedures:
（1） All the required documents should be
handed in directly to the Office
of Educational Administration of the University during the application
（2） First stage – examination on documents.
The examination will be based
on the applicants’ qualifications, study plans, and their portfolios.
Results will be sent to the Office of Educational Administration
of the University by May 31 every year. Those who
gain over 70 points are qualified in this stage.
（3） Second stage – tests on Chinese comprehension.
Those who are qualified
in the first stage should join tests on Chinese comprehension for
foreign students held by the University. Those who get 60 or more points
for this test will be furthermore examined by the Foreign
Students Examination Committee of the University. After the examination,
the principal of the University will grant the admission to those
who are qualified.
（1） At registration, foreign students should hand
in the documents of medical
care and injuries insurance or national health insurance. The valid
period for these insurances should cover students stay in Taiwan. Those
who don’t have the insurances are obliged to make payment
and entrust the University to apply for ones; otherwise, students will
from the admission.
（2） Foreign students, if arriving at school after
1/3 of a semester, will not be accepted
for that semester; but with the permission from the director of the
Graduate School, they may register in the next semester.
